I didn't have a very high level of math, and I wanted to move away from simply manipulating data to building on it. It's been an intensive journey, but my conversion is done!

Ines Ben Amor
After completing her engineering studies at the Ecole des Mines de Saint-Étienne, with a double degree at EM Lyon, Inès began her career at Veamly, a company she still works for. There, she created several state-of-the-art Deep Learning algorithms to classify messages, as well as a search engine!

Laurent Michel-Amadry
CEO
@
Datalo.co
Always ready to listen and available to his students, Laurent brings a great depth of metaphors and illustrations in his explanations to really break down concepts for you: and for good reason, he does not originally come from a technical sector!

Laurent Michel-Amadry
After several years as a sales and marketing manager in large companies, Laurent is moving to the technical side of the Force. Teaching, explaining, popularising, these are things that Laurent knows well. After several training courses, he soon realised that teaching was one of his vocations, which he put into practice. In parallel to his teaching activities, he set up his own Data Consulting company in Lyon, assisting clients at every stage of their Data projects.
FAQ
Your questions about training
A Data Scientist is more oriented towards prediction from existing data, while a Data Analyst is more focused on analyzing data to make strategic decisions. Nevertheless, similar skills in statistics, programming and project management are required for both professions.
To become a Data Scientist, you don't have to attend university and obtain a Master's degree in Data Science. Many training centers, such as Jedha, offer short courses called Bootcamp or distance learning courses, which are ideal for continuing education and retraining.
You can become a Data Scientist without a high school diploma or a degree! The easiest way is to attend a Data Science Bootcamp, a short course that teaches the basics of Deep Learning, Machine Learning and data analysis in a few weeks.
It's possible to do a Data Science internship at the end of your training at Jedha. We will issue you with an internship agreement lasting from a few weeks to a maximum of 6 months.
It's possible to learn Data Science for free with free online resources such as Youtube videos or blog posts. Many platforms also offer free training in Data Science, such as Coursera or Udemy. Please note, however, that these courses offer no support, are not government-recognized and require a significant personal investment. We recommend that you opt for a paid but highly flexible course, with extensive support, such as our Data Science Fullstack course.
According to Glassdoor's latest research, an early-career Data Scientist can expect an annual salary of between €42,000 and €49,000 in France. Of course, this amount varies according to the candidate's skills and the company's location.
Mastery of machine learning techniques, in-depth knowledge of statistics, programming (particularly in Python and SQL), and the use of data analysis tools like SciKit-Learn are essential to become a Data Scientist.
A Data Scientist spends his time analyzing large datasets and developing predictive models using Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithms. They then share their findings with decision-makers.
French is the language of instruction, but English dominates the teaching resources on JULIE, a standard practice in the sector.
A personal computer is required, with a minimum RAM of 8 GB and 80 GB of storage available for the various installations required. Intel i5 processors are the minimum, and Macs M1, M2 and M3 are compatible, but with some adjustments required.
