What is AIF? 

Definition of "Aide Individuelle à la Formation 

Proposée par France Travail (le nouveau nom de Pôle Emploi), l’Aide Individuelle à la Formation (AIF) est un dispositif de financement pour les demandeurs d’emploi souhaitant suivre une formation certifiante.

The AIF is used as a last resort: when other financing options are not available for your training, or when existing solutions cannot pay for your training in full, a frequent situation with the CPF.

Who can benefit from AIF? 

L’AIF s’adresse à tous les demandeurs inscrits à France Travail, rémunérés ou non. Elle couvre également les travailleurs en transition professionnelle à la suite d'un licenciement économique, possédant les contrats suivants : 

• Professional Reclassification Contract (CRP)
• Professional Transition Contract (CTP)
• Contrat de Sécurisation Professionnelle (CSP - professional security contract)

How does Aide Individuelle à la Formation work?

How much does the AIF fund? 

The amount of the AIF can cover all or part of the costs of your training project. If approved, the AIF is paid directly to your training organization.

Le montant de l'AIF est déterminé au cas par cas, influencé par plusieurs critères. Votre projet de formation et la relation avec votre conseiller France Travail sont pris en compte, mais des facteurs externes comme le budget de votre agence et les quotas en place ont également un impact. France Travail ne précise pas de montant limite pour l'AIF sur son site.

Peut-on percevoir une rémunération de France Travail pendant une formation financée par l’AIF ? 

Lorsque votre formation est financée par l'AIF, vos droits France Travail évoluent automatiquement vers une rémunération de formation adaptée. Dans la situation la plus courante, si vous bénéficiez de l'allocation de retour à l'emploi (ARE), elle évolue en Aide au Retour à l'Emploi Formation (ARE-F). Dans des cas spécifiques, si vous touchez l'AST ou l'ATI, ces allocations se transforment aussi automatiquement en AST-F ou ATI-F.

Si vos droits ARE, AST ou ATI s'épuisent pendant la formation, vous bénéficiez de la Rémunération de Fin de Formation (RFF).  Si vous n'êtes pas indemnisé par une allocation chômage, la Rémunération de Formation de France Travail (RFPE) s'applique pendant votre formation.

How long does it take to register for an AIF training course? 

Soumettez le devis de l’organisme de formation au moins 5 semaines avant le début de votre formation, pour que France Travail puisse traiter efficacement votre demande. À noter que les demandes ne sont plus acceptées dans les 2 semaines avant le début de la formation. 
Pour augmenter vos chances d'obtenir l'Aide Individuelle à la Formation, entamez vos démarches le plus tôt possible.

Le financement par l’AIF ne couvre pas toutes les offres de formation. Seules les formations certifiantes enregistrées au Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles (RNCP) peuvent en bénéficier. With AIF, you have the freedom to choose a training course or a training track offered by Jedha. For example, if you're a complete beginner and want to become a Data Scientist, you can have a Complete Data Science Track financed, comprising 3 courses (Essentials, Fullstack and Lead).

 AIF gives you flexibility in your choice of training mode: classroom, distance or hybrid .

Do you have a CPF balance? Here's how to get the Aide Individuelle à la Formation (AIF) in 5 easy steps:

1. Contactez votre conseiller France Travail : Échangez avec votre conseiller au sujet de votre projet de formation, car il jouera un rôle essentiel dans l'obtention de votre financement.
2. Make an appointment with Jedha's admissions team: Talk to our team to find out more about our Data and Cybersecurity courses, and confirm your eligibility.
3. Log in to "My Training AccountRegister and find out how much is available on your CPF.
4. Submit your CPF file: Search for the Jedha training course or program on Mon Compte Formation, then submit your CPF file.
5. Send a quote to your advisor: Once the Jedha team has validated your CPF file, request payment of the outstanding balance on the Mon Compte Formation platform. This will automatically send an AIF estimate to your consultant.

Once you've completed these steps, all you have to do is wait for your advisor to tell you whether you are eligible for the AIF.

3. Obtenez un devis via la plateforme Kairos : Fournissez-nous votre code postal France Travail, votre identifiant et les sessions souhaitées, et recevez un devis sur Kairos.
4. Confirm the quote: Validate the quote directly on the Kairos platform.

Once these steps have been completed, you'll need to make another appointment with your advisor and wait for his or her reply on the possibilities of obtaining the AIF.

Why can an AIF application be rejected?

Du fait de son caractère discrétionnaire, l’obtention de l’AIF peut s’avérer difficile. Plusieurs raisons sont possibles en cas d’un refus par France Travail : 

• The financing amount is too high for your agency 
• The number of financing quotas has been reached 
• The course you have chosen is inconsistent with your career plan

That's why it's important, if possible, to supplement it with other sources of funding such as the CPF. Agencies can encourage this type of application, which can increase your chances of obtaining the AIF.
